The
Original
Study
Smart Plus
This program has been
designed for secondary and college level students who are
looking for a structured approach to improve their study
skills and habits. It is constructed for every
participant to become actively involved in learning the
appropriate skills through interaction and
personalization. The program is designed to be completed
through the use of Internet technologies and is a
Web-based computer assisted learning process.
The
program is based on the following:
Study skills
are procedures for processing information which
contributes to effective learning. Study skills
involve "learning how to learn."
The
well-organized student performs better than the
poorly organized student. Study skills help in
the organization process.
Learning is
more effective when there is some structure
around which information can be organized. Some
students acquire organizational techniques
through incidental learning however; most
students learn these skills through a direct
focused approach.
Successful
learning techniques vary from learner to learner
and clearly no single technique is desirable for
all learners. Therefore, the learning style of
the student will determine the best learning
technique for him/her.
Completion of
several interactive assessments to determine
strengths and weaknesses in the following areas:
time management, listening, note-taking, reading
assignments, concentration & memory, writing
