The activities in this program are structured to get you involved in doing the skills. You learn these skills best by practicing them and then immediately applying them to your goals and assignments. It is recommended that you practice a new skill at least four times or more to become effective at using it. The sheer number of skills in this program may overwhelm you at first, and a new skill may feel strange and uncomfortable to you. So, do the exercises in the program a few times to learn the skill and then apply it to your schoolwork for additional practice and payoffs. Many learning specialists tell
us that we learn best when learning sessions are spaced
over a period of time. Say about 45 minutes to an hour
followed by a break of at least 10 to 15 minutes;
accordingly, we suggest that you follow a similar pattern
